Forge your own path.
Founded in 1931, Weil, Gotshal & Manges is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious law firms, with over 1,200 lawyers worldwide. Pivotal to the firm’s success is recruitment of the country’s top law students for much coveted summer associate positions.
Objective Subject took on the branding of the Summer 2010 recruitment campaign, amidst a firm-wide rebranding project led by the Brand Union. The challenge was to produce the first touchpoints—iPad app, brochure and signage—ahead of the launch of the new brand, in a mere thirty days, from first meeting to final file delivery.
As part of the interview process, Objective Subject designed and developed an on-brand iPad application for an interactive quiz about Weil. The game established the firm as progressive and on target with its young recruits. A graphic series, including directional signage and biographies of the candidates, completed the interview suite experience.
Objective Subject also conceived the “Forge Your Own Path” tagline, reflecting Weil’s commitment to fostering associates’ personal career goals. The brochure outlined the firm’s opportunities and highlighted impressive statistics using editorialized infographics.
The iPads, brochure, and signage were showcased at university recruitment fairs nationwide, and an increase in the quality and strength of applicants demonstrated its effectiveness.
